7:14 In the morning you must approach in tribal order. ¹  The tribe the Lord selects ²  must approach by clans. The clan the Lord selects must approach by families. ³  The family the Lord selects must approach man by man. ⁴

22:21 The Reubenites, Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered the leaders ⁵  of the Israelite clans:

[7:14]  ¹ tn Heb “by your tribes.”

[7:14]  ² tn Heb “takes forcefully, seizes.”

[7:14]  ³ tn Heb “houses.”

[7:14]  ⁴ tn Heb “by men.”

[22:21]  ⁵ tn Heb “answered and spoke to the heads of.”
